We are having a great summer so far. Things are hectic with all the last minute wedding plans, but we are always making sure to make time for the pool at least a few times a week. Ever since we got Ellie at 8 weeks old, we have been putting her in the water. It has definitely paid off because she loves it. The moment she sees us get our swimming suits on...she is out the back door to the pool deck. She just loves getting in and then laying out in the sun. It is the funniest thing!!! For some reason...our baby seems to think she is a human ;)

Our Day at the Nashville Zoo.

Alex and I had a wonderful day with my sweet nephews at the zoo. We all had a great day :) The boys did so good. No one ever had a meltdown, complained about being hot or tired...everything was perfect. The weather cooperated and it really was just a great day! Brayden had never been to the zoo; therefore, he thought every animal & insect was the coolest thing he ever laid his eyes on. He was even interested in the random cicadas that we would occasionally see fly by. Mason is a little older, so he wanted to see the bigger animals that you don't see often. He really loved the elephants. We got very lucky because when we made it over to where the elephants were, they were practically right beside the fence! Both of the boys loved that. The elephant was all about putting on a show...she kept on picking up dirt in her trunk and spraying herself, wiggling her toes, and shaking her ears back and fourth. It was so fun to see! I was so glad that the boys got to see the animals up close and they truely had a great day!

Thankful Thursday.

I am thankful for...

I am thankful for so many things. It is really hard to sit down and narrow down only a few things that I am thankful for. If I tried to write down everything, I would be her for days. These are just a few of the wonderful blessings in my life that I was able to come up with.

- My wonderful family: I love them. I love them more than words can even say. I have been brought up by my amazing parents and my two big brothers. I have a sister in law that filled in the sister role that I always dreamt about. My nephews hold my heart...they're beautiful, perfect, sweet little boys & I could not be a happier aunt :)

- My Fiance: The young man who makes my heart so happy. Just sitting here thinking about him makes me smile. I feel so lucky to know that in 6 short weeks, he will be my husband. I feel truely blessed to know what love is at a young age.

- My puppy dog: Yes, I'm aware that she is a dog; however, I am so thankful that I found her when we were looking for a new puppy. She is such a good little girl...so loveable and just cute!

- I am thankful to be in school and working towards my dream of being a Special Education teacher. Over the past couple of years my eyes have been open to the beauty of a special needs child and I am so excited for the future & cannot imagine my life going anywhere else.

- I am thankful for all of my sweet friends!

Sept. 28, 2007

On this day, Sept. 28, 2007, my life changed forever. This was the day that Alex and I started dating. At that moment, I had no idea how much I was going to fall in love with this young man. I had no idea that he would be the man that I would hold hands with in front of the sweet little white church that I have grown up in. I now know that I can't imagine my life with anyone else. He is so sweet, patient, loving, and wonderful. He makes my heart feel so happy. I am so completely in love with him. I cannot wait to see what God has in store for us as we start this amazing, beautiful journey together.
